Honey, Apitop and other products

We are a group of healthy living enthusiasts from the south of Chile. With Andes Viva, we want to help spread this knowledge, to facilitate understanding, to show the hidden wonders that do nothing but good. Because we all deserve to be free of worries and fears of getting sick easily — something that we in many cases can archive through a constant level of a strong defense and a healthy diet.

Ours is not a substitute for medicine or doctors, nor is it magic. It is only mother earth, her natural processes of millions of years, which contribute much more to our lives than we imagine.

In our online shop you can find our products: Kombucha, Honey, Apitop, Royal Jelly, Polen, Propolis and slippers from sheep wool. All products are made by a local community in and around Puerto Varas in Chile.

Handicrafts

The world of handicrafts is undoubtedly one of the most valuable treasures of southern Chile. The dedication to fine and quality manual work is the livelihood of many local families. Their masterpieces deserve to be communicated, promoted and spread throughout Chile. That is why we decided to incorporate some of their best products in our offer.

Sheep Wool Slipper “Andes Shoes”

High-quality sheep wool slippers, which always keep your feet warm and comfortable, avoiding slipping through a leather sole.

It is part of a project to develop handicrafts made with natural materials, reusing the waste generated by the salmon industry in the Lake District. The production chain of our slippers is based on supporting fair trade with local families, including women of Mapuche Huilliche origin from the Lakes Region, from the communes of Frutillar, Fresia, Alerce and San Juan de la Costa.

The shoes are 100% natural, so they can be recycled in compost bins at the end of their useful life.

About us and our products

Why do we always relate health with illness, wellness with drugs, and sweetness with a bad conscience? Why don’t we take better advantage of the resources that nature gives us to take care of ourselves and incorporate them into our daily dietary routine?

The reason is simple: we know too little. If one does not begin to investigate, to seek knowledge in scientific studies, it is difficult to know the benefits of Royal Jelly – the valuable golden liquid that makes queens grow, but also helps to maintain the beauty of the human being because it can prevent the early process of skin deterioration. Or Propolis, the fascinating reddish material with which bees often seal their homes. Pollen, found in the male organs of the flower, is edible! And not only that, it is very beneficial not only for the bees, but also for us humans.
