Twice a week to El Calafate
The airline SKY has announced a new international route that will connect Santiago de Chile with El Calafate, in Argentine Patagonia, starting in December. This news was highlighted on Monday by the portal AviationClubCenter.com, indicating that ticket sales have already begun on SKY’s official website: skyairline.com.
This service will operate twice a week on a modern Airbus A320neo, with a capacity of 186 passengers in a single class. Flights are scheduled to operate from December 18th until mid-March, with the possibility of extension based on demand. The flights will run on Wednesdays and Sundays, departing from Santiago at 4:05 p.m. and arriving in El Calafate at 7:00 p.m. The return flight will depart the same day at 8:10 p.m. and land in Santiago at 11:05 p.m.
Ticket prices start at 86,000 pesos per segment, and the airline emphasizes that this new route reaffirms its commitment to expanding services in Argentina. “The choice of El Calafate highlights the importance of this tourist destination in Patagonia, allowing travelers more direct and convenient access to one of South America’s most iconic regions,” SKY representatives said.
With this unprecedented route, SKY aims to strengthen connectivity between Chile and Argentina, offering passengers new opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the Patagonian region.
